Life abroad :)

I am the average indian girl whose the today's woman; the today's generation. I get married off being convinced that I have come of suitable age to start my own family, that I have the abilities to cook and feed someone else too :) .. When I say am today's girl. am the one who wants to work, who wants to take long rides on my bike, the one who wants to reach new heights and goals in my career and knows nothing of what spices go in the indian food or how much salt is good enough or how much is saltier!!

Luckily, am engaged and have about six more months to enjoy my last whiff of freedom, ofcourse, I want to spend ir not learning any cooking like how amma advises.. infact I want to spend it with my niece, I want to shop for Americaaaa, I want to ride my bike once more not knowing when can I enoy that wind in my face(ofcourse the dust too!) and not wanting to quit my job until the last ..

The thought of being on a dependant visa runs a chill down my spine, the mere idea brings me to face my horrors. How will I ask my pati dev for money for the tiniest of my needs. Its a very tough call for me, being the youngest of two daughters of my proud dad, we were always taught that education brings respect and we can command the world and stand on our feet! Its a challenging phase for me, am just getting used to the idea of making my husband spend for things I want. Am waiting to stand on my feet and support him in whatever way I can. Am sure it will take sometime. Things are not easy once you get married, you see. The struggle starts when you start making calls to india for every teeny weeny doubt that you encounter in the kitchen.Believe me when I say, I had to open google images to check some ingredients and confirm their identity :) All in all, someone to be appreciated is my husband who bore all the ill cooking with a smile and constantly being my critic and helping me to improvise. I never dreamt that I will enjoy cooking too! Its an art indeed....
